Meow ("the App") is an open-source VPN client for Android. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.
Meow does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:
The App routes your device's network traffic through proxy servers that you configure via subscription URLs or manual configuration. The App itself does not operate any proxy servers and has no access to your traffic once it leaves your device.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
This data is stored in the app's private storage and is removed when you uninstall the App.
The App does not integrate any third-party services that collect user data. DNS queries are resolved via DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) through your configured proxy to protect your privacy.
The App requests Android's VPN permission to create a local VPN tunnel on your device. This is required to route traffic through your configured proxy servers. No traffic is sent to us.
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, please open an issue on our GitHub repository.
